Description / Mora Garberg Multi-Mount Fixed Blade Knife
When setting up camp or preparing for a spell off-grid, a sturdy knife can take care of practical jobs and help with fire lighting. The Mora Garberg Multi-Mount is a full tang fixed blade with a stainless steel blade and a spine ground for use with a fire starter.
The blade is 3.2 mm thick and has a Scandi-grind, which the manufacturer says makes it easier to keep sharp. Its Multi-Mount provides different mounting options, with holes and slots for various types of straps, and is compatible with the standardised MOLLE system.
Where it fits in your kit
- Camp kit: A sturdy tool for routine camp and cooking preparation.
- Bushcraft equipment: Useful for practical woodland tasks and fire preparation.
- Home emergency box: A tool to keep with other supplies for a planned power cut or disruption.
- Shed or woodstore: Keep it with equipment used for outdoor and wood-related jobs.
Prep tips
- Store the knife securely and keep its edge maintained.
- Pair it with a separate fire starter and practise using them together before relying on them outdoors.
