Description / Mora Companion F Rescue Serrated Knife with Blunt Nose
When rope needs cutting during camp setup or an unexpected household job, a suitable knife can make the task simpler. The Mora Companion F Rescue is a serrated knife with a blunt nose, described as a rope cutter and emergency-use knife, making it a practical addition to a home emergency box or camp kit.
The serrated blade is intended for cutting rope, while the blunt nose distinguishes it from a pointed knife. Its hi-vis orange finish can help you spot it among other kit. Keep it securely stored and familiarise yourself with its use before you need it.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: A dedicated tool for rope-cutting tasks during household disruptions.
- Camp: Useful for camp setup and general rope work.
- Bushcraft: A practical cutting tool for camp tasks.
- Shed or woodstore: Keep it with tools used for outdoor and equipment maintenance.
Prep tips
- Store the knife securely, away from children and where you can find it when needed.
- Practise safe handling and rope-cutting technique in a controlled setting before relying on it.
- Keep a separate cutting method available so one tool is not your only option.
