Description / Mora Floating Fixed Blade Knife with Stainless Serrated Blade
When food preparation at camp takes place beside water, a dropped knife can be difficult to recover. The Mora Floating Knife has a cork handle that floats in water and a stainless serrated blade, making it a practical tool to keep available for food preparation in wet surroundings.
The floating cork handle is the key feature: if the knife goes into the water, it floats rather than sinking. The blade is stainless and serrated. Keep it clean and dry after use, and store it safely when not in use.
Where it fits in your kit
- Camp kitchen: Keep it with your food-preparation tools.
- Water-side camp: The floating handle is useful where a dropped knife could otherwise sink.
- Home emergency box: A dedicated tool for food preparation during a disruption.
- Bushcraft camp: A practical knife for camp tasks and food preparation.
Prep tips
- Store the knife securely and keep it clean and dry between uses.
- Practise safe handling and food-preparation tasks before relying on it at camp.
- Keep a separate backup cutting tool in your home kit if you want redundancy.
