Description / Mora Classic 2F Birch Fixed Blade Knife
When you are setting up camp or working with wood, a fixed blade knife is a useful hand tool for everyday camp tasks. The Mora Classic 2F pairs a carbon steel blade with a birch handle and a polymer sheath, making it a practical choice for a home tool store or bushcraft kit.
Its red-stained, barrel-shaped birch handle is a traditional feature. The polished-look polymer sheath carries the Dalecarlian shield and has a belt strap made from Swedish vegetable tanned leather. Keep the knife sheathed when stored, and dry the carbon steel blade after use.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: A useful hand tool for planned household and camp tasks.
- Shed or woodstore: Keep it with your outdoor tools for work around the woodpile.
- Camp: A fixed blade tool for practical camp jobs.
- Bushcraft and woodland work: Suited to responsible outdoor tasks where a knife is appropriate.
Prep tips
- Store it sheathed in a secure, dry place at home.
- Wipe the carbon steel blade dry after use and check it periodically for signs of corrosion.
- Practise safe handling and maintenance before relying on it for camp tasks.
- Pair it with other suitable tools rather than expecting one knife to cover every job.
