Description / Mora 106 82mm Laminated Steel Woodcarving Knife
When you need to shape wood at camp or in the workshop, a dedicated carving knife makes controlled work easier than using a general-purpose tool. The Mora 106 is a woodcarving knife with a thin, tapered blade of laminated steel and an oiled birchwood handle, making it a useful addition to a camp or bushcraft tool kit.
The blade core is hardened to 61 - 62 Rockwell, with softer mild steel either side. The source describes the blade as able to take and hold a great edge. Its birchwood handle is 157mm long, and a grey plastic sheath is included. Use it for careful woodcarving and shaping; keep the blade covered when it is stored.
