Description / Woodgas Camping Stove with Solid Fuel Bowl
When a power cut or time away from home leaves your usual cooking setup unavailable, a stove that can use gathered fuel offers a useful backup. This compact woodgas camping stove is made from stainless steel and weighs 380g, making it a practical option for off-grid cooking without carrying a heavy fuel supply.
Its double-wall construction creates a woodgas effect, with up to 30% increased burning efficiency and a burn time of approx. 20 mins. The stove has vents for airflow and protection from the wind, and a wide opening makes adding fuel easier. It can use charcoal, foraged wood or solid alcohol fuel; a solid alcohol fuel bowl is included as an alternative.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: a backup cooking option when normal appliances are unavailable.
- Camping and bushcraft: cook with suitable wood or charcoal when conditions and local rules allow.
- Off-grid cooking: use the included bowl for solid alcohol fuel as an alternative fuel source.
- Compact camp loadout: five detachable parts store inside each other in the included carry bag.
Prep tips
- Practise assembling and using the stove outdoors before relying on it during an outage.
- Keep a separate ignition method and suitable fuel option in your kit.
- Use stoves outdoors, on a stable surface and well away from anything that can catch fire; follow the fuel instructions.
