Description / Victorinox RangerGrip 79 Red & Black Swiss Army Multi-Tool
When woodland work or camp calls for more than one cutting tool, the Victorinox RangerGrip 79 brings a wood saw and a large lock blade together in a folding Swiss Army multi-tool. The lock blade has a thumb hole for one-hand opening, and the two-component scales are designed to provide excellent grip.
Use the saw for suitable wood-cutting jobs and the blade for general camp or workshop tasks. Before relying on it away from home, practise opening and closing the tools and check that they are clean and in good working order.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home workshop: A compact option for everyday cutting and repair jobs.
- Shed or woodstore: Keep it with tools used for preparing and maintaining supplies of wood.
- Camp: Useful for routine camp tasks where a saw and blade are handy.
- Bushcraft and woodland work: The wood saw supports practical work with suitable timber.
Prep tips
- Store it clean and dry with your other tools, and check it periodically for dirt or damage.
- Practise using each tool at home so you know how it opens and closes before taking it to camp.
- Keep a separate purpose-made saw available if your planned work needs a larger cutting tool.
