When a knife has dulled through regular use, a reliable way to restore its edge can be useful at home or at camp. The Smith's JIFFY-Pro is a compact, handheld sharpener with a two-stage system for coarse edge setting and fine honing, helping keep cutting tools ready for practical jobs.
Draw the blade through the crossed carbide blades to reset a very dull or damaged edge, then use the crossed ceramic rods to refine and hone it. The abrasives are set at preset angles, so there are no adjustments to make. An enlarged slot with a floating carbide rod also accommodates scissors and game shears, adjusting to the bevel of the blades.
