When a kitchen knife or camp cooking tool needs attention, a sharpening rod helps keep it ready for food preparation. The Sharpal ceramic sharpening rod is a practical addition to a home emergency box or camp equipment, with a fine honing surface to maintain a knife’s cutting edge.
Use the rod to hone and realign the cutting edge. Its removable rubber cap helps protect a support surface from scratching and is designed to reduce chipping and nicking if the rod is dropped. An oversized hand guard provides a barrier between your hand and the blade while sharpening.
