Description / Robens Wayne Stainless Steel Outdoor Grill
When a power cut or a day off-grid leaves your usual cooker unavailable, an outdoor fire can provide another way to prepare a meal. The Robens Wayne Grill is a stainless steel grill for camp and bushcraft cooking, with a compact pack size for easier transport and storage.
Its cooking size is 34.5 x 35 x 25.7 cm, and it packs down to 34.5 x 19 x 6 cm. The stainless steel construction is resistant to rust and corrosion. Use it over a suitable outdoor fire, following local fire restrictions and keeping a safe distance from flammable materials.
Where it fits in your kit
- Camp cooking: a grill surface for preparing food over an outdoor fire.
- Bushcraft setup: useful for outdoor cooking where an open fire is appropriate.
- Off-grid cooking kit: a non-electric option to pair with a suitable outdoor fire setup.
- Home emergency box: a cooking accessory to keep with outdoor backup equipment for power cuts.
Prep tips
- Practise setting up and using your outdoor cooking equipment before relying on it during a disruption.
- Keep a separate backup cooking method available, and check that its fuel or fire-lighting supplies are ready.
- Only use an outdoor fire where it is permitted; keep water or another suitable means of extinguishing it close by.
