When camp wood needs preparing or a workshop axe needs replacing, this Prandi Calabro German-type axe head provides the working head component. It is made from C45/1045 carbon steel, with a polished and hardened blade, and weighs 500 g / 1.15 lb. It is supplied without a handle, so it suits someone who already has a suitable handle or is building or repairing an axe.
The 500 g head is intended for one-handed work such as chopping, carving, kindling preparation and small timber tasks. Fit it to a suitable handle before use, and check the fit and condition of the completed tool before taking it to camp or the workshop.
