Description / Pick Axe Head, Drop Forged Steel, 3.18kg
When hard ground needs breaking around a camp or woodland work area, a pick axe can be a useful tool to have available. This is a 3.18kg pick axe head with drop forged steel construction and a chisel and point pattern. It needs a compatible handle before use; the source lists Amtech’s wooden handle (A2400) and fibreglass handle (A2430).
Keep the head with the handle it is intended to fit, and check that the assembled tool is secure and in good condition before working. A pick axe is suited to digging and ground preparation, rather than general-purpose cutting.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home tool store: Keep it available for ground work around the property.
- Shed or woodstore: Store it with its compatible handle and other outdoor tools.
- Camp: Use it for digging and preparing a site where appropriate.

Prep tips
- Store the head dry and check it periodically for damage or corrosion.
