Description / Petromax Tripod Lashing for Open-Fire Cooking
When you need to cook at camp without a conventional stove, the Petromax Tripod Lashing helps you build a branch tripod over an open fire. Its lightweight stainless-steel disc forms the frame, while two hooks and a chain let you suspend a Dutch Oven or teakettle above the heat.
Feed suitable branches through the disc openings and twist them slightly to fasten them in place. Adjust the chain length to control the cookware’s position over the fire. The lashing can also be used to help build a stable shelter or tipi on firm ground.
