Description / Petromax KX50 50L Passive Cool Box - Olive
When a power cut or time away from mains electricity puts your usual refrigeration out of reach, the Petromax KX50 is a 50L passive cool box for keeping food and drinks chilled. It needs no compressor or absorber and works with commercially available ice, cold packs or dry ice.
Its double-walled, void-insulated construction has an insulation layer of at least 45 mm. The box can keep ice cool for up to 12 days. For best results, pre-cool the box and its contents, put ice or cold packs on top, open it only when needed and keep it in a cool, shady place out of direct sunlight.

Prep tips
- Before use, cool the box in a cold room or with ice, and only load pre-cooled food and drinks.
- Use larger blocks of ice where possible, and place ice or cold packs on top.
- Keep the box upright in a cool, shady place and limit how often you open it.
- Check your ice supply and have a backup plan for chilled food during a prolonged power cut.
