When you need to cook without relying on a kitchen hob, a Dutch oven gives you a practical way to prepare a full meal over an open fire or charcoal. The Petromax FT9 is a 7.5L cast iron pot with three legs, suited to camp cooking and keeping a home emergency box ready for longer power cuts.
Its cast iron construction stores and distributes warmth. The pre-treated, seasoned surface means it can be used without first seasoning it. The raised edge on the lid holds embers or charcoal to heat the pot from above, while the thermometer hole lets you check the temperature without lifting the lid. Turn the lid over and it can be used as a pan.
