When you need to cook for a group without relying on mains power, this Petromax FT12 cast-iron Dutch oven offers a substantial option for open-air cooking. Its 10.8L pot can prepare meals for up to 14-20 persons, making it useful for camp cooking or a planned off-grid stay.
The pre-treated, seasoned surface means it can be used without first seasoning it. Cast iron stores and distributes warmth, and the raised edge on the lid lets you place embers or charcoal on top to heat the oven from above as well. Three legs provide stability, while the sturdy handle helps with lifting. Use the thermometer hole to check the temperature without lifting the lid; the upturned lid can also serve as a pan.
