Description / Petromax FS38 Steel Fire Bowl for Open-Fire Cooking
When a power cut or time off-grid takes your usual cooking facilities out of action, the Petromax FS38 gives you a steel fire bowl for cooking over an open fire. Its 15″ diameter provides room to prepare meals for 1 to 3 persons, and it can also be used to enjoy a contained campfire without placing the fire directly on the ground.
The three feet support the bowl over the fire, and the 9.1-inch-long feet can be unscrewed for transport. The centre becomes hotter than the outer surface, so food can cook in the middle while cooked items are kept warm around the edge. Season the griddle before its first use; the patina that forms with use makes it naturally non-stick. The bowl can also support coals and briquettes beneath a Dutch Oven.
