When a power cut leaves you relying on an outdoor fire or barbecue for cooking, this Petromax cast iron waffle iron offers a way to make a hot meal or dessert. Its seasoned cast-iron moulds bake two waffles at a time, making it a useful addition to a camp cooking kit or home emergency box where open-fire cooking is an option.
Fill the mould with waffle dough and close it with the locking hook to help keep the halves together. The long rod and wooden handles provide distance from the heat source. Once heated, the iron's residual heat can be used to bake gently. The hinged halves separate for cleaning, and the waffle iron can be used immediately thanks to its seasoned finish.
