Can I use this on a wood burning stove ?
Yes — the Petromax trivet is cast iron and the manufacturer describes it as usable “in the fire” as a surface for kettles and percolators, so it is suitable for use on a wood‑burning stove.
A few practical points:
- take care with stability and clearances — check your stove’s cooking surface (and manual) to make sure the trivet sits flat and won’t block vents or damage any enamel/glass.
- it will be very hot in use, so always handle with heatproof gloves or tongs.
- because it arrives seasoned you can use it straightaway, but clean and re‑oil after use to protect the finish.
