When you need to cook a meal without relying on a kitchen, a stack grate makes a Dutch oven more versatile. This solid cast iron Petromax grate supports steaming, baking and braising at several levels, making it a useful addition to an off-grid or camp cooking setup.
Place one grate in the Dutch oven or stack several for cooking on multiple levels. Its three 4.8-cm-long feet keep it raised from the bottom of the pot. It can also sit directly in the embers for grilling, or provide a surface over a fire for percolators, tea kettles and Dutch ovens without feet. The seasoned finish means it is ready to use without seasoning before first use. It fits the ft4.5 and all larger pots.
