Description / Petromax Buffalo Leather Cross-Back Cooking Apron
When cooking over an open fire, heat, fat spatter and dirt can make a practical apron useful at home or at camp. The Petromax Buffalo Leather Apron is made from buff leather and provides a protective layer for open-fire cooking and grilling.
Adjust the crossed back straps and separate waist belt for a secure fit. Reinforced stitching and riveted straps are built for durability, while chest and waist pockets and a lateral support strap keep tools and a towel close by. The natural leather finish develops a unique patina over time.
Where it fits in your kit
- Camp cooking area: a useful layer when preparing food over an open fire.
- Home emergency cooking setup: keep it with outdoor cooking equipment for cooking during a power cut.
- Garden grill: helps protect clothing from fat spatter and dirt during everyday outdoor cooking.
Prep tips
- Adjust the straps and waist belt before you start cooking so the apron sits securely.
- Keep the apron clear of direct flames; protective clothing should not be treated as fireproof.
- Pair it with suitable cooking tools and heat-resistant gloves for handling hot cookware.
- Check the straps and stitching periodically, especially after regular use.
