Description / Petromax 8L Cooler Bag for Ice-Cooled Food - Olive
When a power cut interrupts access to a fridge, keeping a few provisions chilled can be useful. The Petromax 8L Cooler Bag uses ice cubes or packs to keep food and drinks cool without electricity, making it a practical backup for home emergencies and trips away.
It holds up to 4 kg of ice and fits six 0.5L bottles. The water-repellent nylon outer has a TPU coating, waterproof zips and a dirt-resistant surface. An insulating foam core supports cooling, while the padded shoulder strap, handles and carabiner eyelets make it easier to carry or secure during transport.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: a way to keep selected provisions chilled when the fridge is unavailable, provided you have ice.
- Car kit: carry food and drinks for a breakdown or delayed journey.
- Camping and off-grid trips: keep provisions cool without relying on mains power.
- Fishing trips: carry drinks and food in a compact insulated bag.
Prep tips
- Keep ice cubes or packs ready in your freezer as part of your household power-cut plan.
- Pack the cooler shortly before leaving and keep the zip closed as much as practical.
- Check the bag, zips and handles periodically, and clean and dry it before storage.
