Description / Petromax 20cm Nata Chopping Knife with Carbon Steel Blade
When storm damage or camp chores leave branches to process, a dedicated chopping knife can help with the woodwork. The Petromax 20cm Nata Knife is made in Finland and uses a German carbon steel blade, giving it a practical place in a home emergency setup or camp woodstore.
Its Scandi grind is designed for precise cuts and is easy to sharpen. The walnut handle has an integrated slip guard and hanging eyelet; it is bonded across the steel and secured with aluminium rivets. A genuine leather pouch is included for storage.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home shed or woodstore: for debarking and limbing branches during storm clean-up.
- Camp woodwork: for preparing branches for camp tasks.
- Bushcraft woodland work: for thinning shrubs and working with wood.
- Home emergency box: a useful tool to store with other equipment for property and garden upkeep.
Prep tips
- Store the knife securely in its pouch, away from children and where it will stay dry.
- Practise safe handling and suitable wood-processing tasks before relying on it outdoors.
- Keep a suitable sharpening method with your tool-maintenance kit and check the edge before use.
