Description / Petromax 17L Cooler Backpack for Ice-Cooled Food - Dark Grey
When a power cut interrupts refrigeration or you are spending time away from mains power, keeping food and drinks cool can be a challenge. The Petromax 17L Cooler Backpack uses ice cubes for electricity-free cooling for up to 6 days, giving you a portable option for home disruptions and trips off-grid.
Its padded back, adjustable shoulder straps and chest strap make it easier to carry than a traditional coolbox, while the carry handle offers another option. The water-repellent nylon fabric, waterproof zipper and dirt-repellent surfaces are designed for practical use. Pockets and exterior attachment points help keep smaller items organised.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency supplies: a way to keep selected food and drinks cool during a power cut.
- Camp kitchen: carry chilled provisions without relying on an electrical supply.
- Off-grid trips: transport food and drinks when you are away from mains power.
- Car journeys: keep provisions together and upright while travelling.
Prep tips
- Pre-chill food and drinks before packing, and use ice cubes as directed.
- Keep the cooler closed as much as possible to help retain the cold.
- Check its contents and clean and dry the interior after use.
- Plan a separate drinking-water supply; this cooler is for keeping food and drinks cool.
