When you need to prepare food or handle small cutting jobs at camp, a folding knife with a blade that locks securely is a useful tool to have to hand. The Opinel No09 Olive Classic Originals combines a modified Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel Yatagan blade with an olive wood handle for practical outdoor and household use.
The curved blade profile supports controlled slicing. Opinel’s Virobloc® safety ring locks the blade in both the open and closed positions. The olive wood handle is varnished, and the stainless steel blade is described as offering corrosion resistance and long-lasting edge retention.
