When camp jobs or small repairs call for a controlled cut, the Opinel No06 is a compact folding knife for practical work at camp, in the workshop or at home. Its 7cm high-carbon steel Yatagan blade and Virobloc safety ring make it a straightforward tool to include in a kit kept for those settings.
The Virobloc ring locks the blade in both open and closed positions. The tinted, varnished beech wood handle is shaped for a comfortable hold, while the high-carbon steel blade is described as offering good cutting performance and edge retention. It is also suited to small craft tasks and fine work.
