When camp cooking or a woodland task calls for a compact cutting tool, the Opinel No.8 provides a folding knife with an 8.5cm stainless steel blade. Its varnished oak handle and Virobloc safety ring make it a straightforward choice for planned camp and home use.
The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel and has a Yatagan shape. The Virobloc safety ring is part of the knife’s design; check that it is correctly positioned before use and fold the blade away safely after the job is done.
