Description / Opinel No.2 Keyring Knife with 3.5cm Stainless Steel Blade
When a small cutting job comes up at camp or around the house, this Opinel No.2 provides a compact option that takes up little room. Its 3.5cm stainless steel blade is suited to light tasks, making it a useful addition to a home emergency box or camp kit where a small knife has a clear purpose.
The Yatagan blade is non-locking and the handle is varnished beech. A keyring is fitted. Use it for controlled, light cutting rather than tasks that need a larger or locking blade.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: for small, occasional cutting jobs around the house.
- Camp kit: for light camp tasks and lawful food preparation.
- Shed or woodstore: as a compact tool for minor jobs where a small blade is suitable.
- Bushcraft kit at camp: for simple cutting tasks, with a larger tool available for heavier work.
Prep tips
- Store it safely with the blade closed and keep it out of reach of children.
- Because the blade is non-locking, use controlled pressure and keep fingers clear of the cutting edge.
- Check that it is clean and in good condition when reviewing your kit; practise careful handling before relying on it.
