Description / Opinel No.08 Chaperon African Wood Folding Knife, 8.5cm Blade
When camp or woodland work calls for a practical cutting tool, the Opinel No.08 Chaperon is a folding knife with an 8.5cm blade and a Virobloc safety ring. Its African wood handle is individually distinctive, while the mirror-polished Yatagan blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel.
Designed by French Art Cabinetmaker Bruno Chaperon, the knife is assembled at Opinel's workshop in Chambery. The safety ring adds security when the blade is open or closed. Practise using the ring and folding mechanism before relying on the knife for camp tasks.
