Description / Old Timer Mighty Mite Lockblade Folding Pocket Knife with Clip Point Blade
When a power cut or off-grid camp calls for a practical cutting tool, the Old Timer Mighty Mite is a folding pocket knife for straightforward camp and household jobs. Its lockblade design and clip point blade make it a useful addition to a well-considered tool collection.
The blade is made from 7Cr17 high carbon stainless steel and has a nail pull. Sawcut handles, nickel silver bolsters, brass pins and heat-treated back springs complete the knife. Keep it clean, check the lock before use and work on a stable surface.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home tool drawer: a compact folding tool for routine household jobs.
- Shed or woodstore: useful alongside other tools for maintenance tasks.
- Camp kitchen: a cutting tool for lawful food preparation.
- Bushcraft and woodland work: for practical camp tasks where a knife is appropriate.
Prep tips
- Store it clean and dry, and keep it in a designated place so it is easy to find.
- Check the blade and locking action periodically, and practise opening and closing it safely before relying on it.
