Description / Old Timer Mariner Lever Lock Folding Pocket Knife with Marlin Spike
When camp or workshop jobs call for both a cutting edge and a way to work at knots or nails, the Old Timer Mariner is a practical folding pocket knife to keep in your tool kit. Its clip point blade is paired with a marlin spike with nail pull, giving you two useful tools in one compact design.
The blade is made from 7Cr17 High Carbon Stainless Steel. Sawcut handles, nickel silver bolsters, brass pins and heat treated back springs complete the construction. Fold the knife away when it is not in use and take time to familiarise yourself with the lever lock and each tool before relying on it for a task.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: a compact tool for practical household jobs.
- Shed or workshop: useful for general cutting and nail-related tasks.
- Camp and bushcraft: a blade and marlin spike for camp work and handling lines.
- Woodstore: a handy tool for small jobs while preparing and organising supplies.
Prep tips
- Store it in a dry, designated place so it is easy to find when needed.
- Practise opening and closing each tool safely before taking it to camp.
- Keep a separate cutting tool available if a task requires a different blade shape or size.
