Description / Mora Progressive Knife Blade Blank, 62mm Blade Length
When you want to make or customise a tool for camp and woodland work, this Mora Progressive knife blade blank gives you a 62mm carbon steel blade as a starting point. It is a component for a knife-making project, rather than a finished knife, and offers a practical workshop task for building skills and preparing tools for outdoor use.
The blade is made from 80CrV2 carbon steel and measures 17mm deep and 3.2mm thick. Plan the handle and finishing work to suit your project, and complete and check the finished tool in a controlled workshop before relying on it for camp or bushcraft tasks.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home workshop: A compact component for a custom tool-making project.
- Shed or woodstore: Keep it with workshop materials for planned tool-making and maintenance work.
- Camp and bushcraft preparation: Make and check the finished tool at home before it is needed for outdoor work.
- Woodland work: A basis for a purpose-made tool for lawful camp and woodland tasks once properly completed.
Prep tips
- Store the blade blank securely with your workshop tools, away from children and moisture.
- Plan the handle and finishing steps before starting, and use suitable workshop safety practices.
- Complete and inspect the finished tool before adding it to your camp equipment.
