Mora Bushcraft Forest Fixed Blade Knife

When you need to prepare kindling or work wood at camp, the Mora Bushcraft Forest Knife is a straightforward fixed-blade tool for practical cutting tasks. Its stainless steel blade is described as holding its edge well over time, while the rubber handle is designed to provide a secure grip in wet or cold conditions.

Use it for jobs such as feathering sticks, preparing kindling and detail work. The blade tapers to a point, and the tough polymer sheath provides a place to store the knife safely between jobs.

Where it fits in your kit

• Camp: for preparing kindling and other wood-cutting tasks.
• Bushcraft work: useful for feathering sticks and careful detail cuts.
• Woodland work: a practical cutting tool for tasks where a fixed blade is appropriate.
• Home shed or woodstore: keep it with tools used for preparing wood and camp supplies.

Prep tips

• Store the knife in its sheath, in a secure place away from children.
• Check the blade and handle periodically, and sharpen the blade when needed.
• Practise controlled cuts in a suitable setting before relying on the knife for camp tasks.
• Keep a separate, appropriate tool for other jobs rather than using the knife beyond its intended tasks.
