Description / Mora Amberg Carbon BlackBlade Outdoor Knife, 109 mm, Black Skies
When you need to prepare kindling, carve or handle food at camp, a dependable fixed blade earns its place in your outdoor kit. The Mora Amberg Carbon BlackBlade is a Swedish outdoor knife with a 109 mm carbon steel blade, Scandi grind and squared spine that is compatible with a ferro rod.
The blade is made from C100S carbon steel and has a black DLC coating. Its 3.2 mm thickness and stiff construction suit more demanding outdoor work, while the Scandi grind supports controlled cutting and is straightforward to maintain. A multi-material handle combines a polypropylene core with a TPE outer layer. The symmetrical click-fit sheath can be set up for left- or right-handed carry.
Where it fits in your kit
- Camp kit: for carving, kindling preparation and food preparation.
- Bushcraft kit: for controlled cutting and detailed outdoor tasks.
- Woodland work: a practical tool for jobs where a fixed blade is useful.
- Home tool storage: keep it with outdoor equipment ready for camp use.
Prep tips
- Practise safe cutting and fire-lighting techniques before relying on them outdoors.
- Pair the squared blade spine with a ferro rod, and keep a separate ignition method as a backup.
- Carbon steel needs sensible care: clean and dry the blade after use, then store it in a dry place.
