Description / Marttiini Tundra Full Tang Bushcraft Knife, Curly Birch, 11 cm
When you are setting up camp or working in the woods away from everyday conveniences, a dependable fixed-blade tool has a practical place in your kit. The Marttiini Tundra is a heavy-duty bushcraft knife with a full-tang construction and a robust stainless steel blade.
The blade and full tang are 3.5 mm thick. Its handle is made from waxed Finnish curly birch, with a shape and surface designed to provide a firm grip. The brown leather sheath is reinforced with rivets. If the handle parts need tightening, the screw has a Torx T10 head.
Where it fits in your kit
- Camp kit — a sturdy tool for practical camp tasks.
- Bushcraft equipment — suited to demanding work in an outdoor setting.
- Home shed or woodstore — keep it with tools used for woodland and woodwork tasks.
- Off-grid camp — a useful fixed-blade tool when working away from home.
Prep tips
- Store the knife in its sheath in a dry, secure place.
- Check the blade and sheath periodically, and keep the blade maintained.
- Practise safe handling and suitable camp tasks before relying on it outdoors.
- For a camp kit, pair it with other appropriate tools rather than expecting one knife to cover every job.
