Description / Marttiini Artic Circle Carbon Steel Knife - 9 cm Blade
When a camp task calls for careful carving rather than a large blade, the Marttiini Artic Circle Knife is a compact choice for practical work. Its carbon steel blade is suited to carving and can be sharpened back to its original sharpness, making it useful for maintaining kit and working with wood.
The birch handle is durable, and the knife comes with a leather sheath. Carbon steel needs regular care: dry the blade carefully after use and treat it regularly with unsalted oil. This helps keep it in good condition between jobs.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home workshop: for small carving and woodwork tasks.
- Shed or woodstore: keep it with tools used for preparing and maintaining materials.
- Camp: a compact option for carving jobs around camp.
- Bushcraft and woodland work: suited to careful whittling and other small wood tasks.
Prep tips
- Dry the blade carefully after each use, then apply unsalted oil regularly.
- Store it clean and dry, with the blade protected in its sheath.
- Check the edge and sheath before a trip, and practise sharpening before relying on the knife for a task.
