When you need to prepare fish for a meal at home or at camp, a suitable filleting knife makes the job more manageable. The Marttiini 7.5" Classic Superflex is a fixed-blade fish filleting knife with a flexible stainless steel blade, a textured birch handle and a leather sheath. Stainless steel is easy to maintain, and the source notes that its blade remains sharp for long.
The 19 cm blade is suited to processing fish of about 2-3 kg. Its handle is made from heat-treated Finnish birch, with a laser-applied surface pattern for a firmer grip and a protective wax coating. Use a diamond sharpener when sharpening the chromium steel blade.
