Description / LifeStraw SIP Stainless Steel Water Filter Straw with Carry Case - Apricot
When tap water quality is uncertain during a trip or disruption, the LifeStraw SIP gives you a compact way to filter water as you sip. This stainless steel filter straw uses a membrane microfilter to remove microplastics, bacteria, parasites, silt, sand and cloudiness, and works without batteries or charging.
The filter lasts up to 1,000 litres. Its included leak proof carry case helps keep the straw clean and protected in a bag or suitcase. Use it with a suitable water source, and follow the manufacturer’s directions for use and care.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box — a backup for times when water quality is uncertain.
- Travel bag or grab bag — compact filtration in a protected case.
- Car kit — useful backup hydration equipment for journeys.
- Camp kit — filter water while away from everyday tap supplies.
Prep tips
- Check the filter’s remaining service life and plan a replacement before it is used up.
- Keep a separate supply of drinking water where possible; this straw does not remove contaminants beyond those stated.
- Familiarise yourself with the manufacturer’s instructions before relying on it.
