Description / LifeStraw SIP Stainless Steel Water Filter Straw with Carry Case - Midnight Blue
When you’re travelling, away from a tap or building a grab bag, uncertain water quality can make a compact filter worth carrying. The LifeStraw SIP is a stainless steel filter straw that filters water as you sip, without needing power or batteries. Its membrane microfilter removes microplastics, bacteria, parasites and sediment.
The filter has a lifespan of up to 1,000 litres and a pore size of 0.2 micron. Store it in the included leak proof carry case to keep the straw protected and clean between uses. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use and care.
Where it fits in your kit
- Grab bag: a portable water-filtering option for an evacuation or time away from home.
- Travel kit: useful when you are away from a familiar drinking-water source.
- Home emergency box: a backup filtration option during a water outage.
- Camp: filter water as you sip when away from a tap.
Prep tips
- Keep the straw protected in its carry case when it is not in use.
- Read the manufacturer’s instructions and practise using it before relying on it.
- Keep a separate supply of stored drinking water as another option.
