Description / LifeStraw SIP Stainless Steel Water Filter Straw with Carry Case - Stormy Blue
When a water outage or an unfamiliar tap leaves you wanting a backup, the LifeStraw SIP is a stainless steel filter straw for drinking directly from the source. Its membrane microfilter removes microplastics, bacteria, parasites and fine sediment, without needing power.
Use it to drink directly through the straw from a water source. The slim design packs inside the included leak proof carry case, and the filter has a lifespan of up to 1,000 litres. It is designed for everyday use and travel as well as a place in a home emergency box.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: a compact water-filtration backup during a supply disruption.
- Travel bag: useful when you encounter hotel taps, public fountains or unfamiliar water sources.
- Grab bag: packs neatly in its carry case for a short-notice departure.
- Camp kit: a power-free way to filter water directly as you drink.
Prep tips
- Keep the straw and case together so the filter is ready when needed.
- Track how much water you filter and plan a replacement when you approach its stated lifespan.
- Keep a separate supply of drinking water or another suitable treatment method as a backup.
- Read the instructions and practise using the straw before relying on it away from home.
