Lansky Coarse/Fine Double-Sided Folding Diamond Sharpening Paddle

When a camp or woodland tool has become dull, this compact folding paddle gives you coarse and fine diamond sharpening surfaces in one unit. The coarse grit is for sharpening or resetting dull edges, while the fine grit is for finishing, making it useful for routine tool maintenance at home or at camp. Both sharpening surfaces cover the full face of the paddle. It folds for storage and has rubber over-moulded handles; its size matches Lansky’s single-side folding diamond paddles.

Where it fits in your kit

• Home tool-maintenance area: keep it with tools that need regular edge care.
• Shed or woodstore: have a sharpener to hand for maintaining woodland and wood-preparation tools.
• Camp: use it for upkeep of tools used around camp.
• Bushcraft kit: the folding design makes it a compact option for planned tool maintenance.

Prep tips

• Practise the sharpening technique before relying on it during a camp task.
• Use a stable work surface and keep fingers clear of the edge while sharpening.
• Check tools before a trip so maintenance can be done at home rather than when needed in the field.
