Description / Jack Pyke Countryman 300g Thermal Fleece Gilet - Dark Olive XXL
When a power cut or cold spell leaves you needing another layer, this Jack Pyke Countryman gilet offers practical warmth without the bulk of another full-sleeved layer. Made from 300g thermal fleece, it works as an outdoor garment or a mid-layer for colder conditions.
The adjustable waist cord helps you get the fit right and retain heat. A full length double puller zip makes it easy to put on or take off, while two lower zipped pockets keep small belongings close. Nubuk piping gives the gilet a neat finish.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: Keep a warm layer ready for chilly rooms during a heating or power outage.
- Grab bag: A useful clothing option for an unplanned overnight stay or evacuation.
- Car kit: Add an extra layer for waiting out a breakdown in cold weather.
- Camp and outdoor use: Wear it as a mid-layer when conditions call for more warmth.
Prep tips
- Store it clean and dry, ready to wear when needed.
- Layer it with clothing suited to the weather; a fleece is not a substitute for a waterproof outer layer.
- Check your emergency clothing periodically and make sure it is still comfortable to wear over your usual layers.
