Description / Hot Pack Type 2 Flameless Military Ration Heater
When a power cut or disrupted journey leaves you without a cooker, the Hot Pack Type 2 Flameless Military Ration Heater gives you a way to heat a meal without a flame. At less than 45g, it is a practical lightweight addition to an emergency food supply or outdoor kit.
Add a small amount of water to activate the heater. It produces heat without odour, and its three-ply high-density polyethylene (HDPE) outer bag is designed to resist moisture absorption. Use it to heat meals rather than as a general-purpose cooker.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: an option for heating a meal when the cooker is unavailable.
- Grab bag: a lightweight heater to pair with suitable ration meals.
- Car kit: useful for a meal break when you are delayed away from home.
- Camp kit: provides a flameless way to heat an outdoor meal.
Prep tips
- Store it with the meal you intend to heat, so the two are together when needed.
- Keep drinking water separate from the water reserved for activating the heater.
- Read and follow the instructions supplied with the heater before use.
