Description / Highlander Olive 12x8ft Groundsheet Tarp
When setting up a tent at camp, a groundsheet adds a practical layer between the tent and the ground. This Highlander olive tarp measures 12'x8'/360cm x 240cm and is described as providing extra protection for your tent. Its polyethylene material is easy to clean, making it a straightforward piece of shelter kit to pack for trips and keep ready for use.
Use it as a groundsheet beneath a tent, then clean it after use before packing it away. Its large stated dimensions also make it a useful tarp to keep with other shelter-building equipment.
Where it fits in your kit
- Camp kit: use it as a groundsheet for a tent.
- Bushcraft shelter kit: keep a tarp available for shelter-building tasks.
- Home emergency box: store it with other practical shelter supplies.
- Outdoor activity kit: take it along when a cleanable groundsheet may be useful.
Prep tips
- Practise setting up your shelter and groundsheet before you rely on them outdoors.
- Clean the tarp after use and let it dry before storing it.
- Check your shelter kit periodically so you know the tarp is still ready to use.
