Description / Highlander Basha HMTC Tarp 250cm x 170cm
When a storm or disruption leaves you needing a simple shelter at camp or off-grid, the Highlander Basha HMTC is a versatile tarp that can be tied to a tree. Its waterproof coating and taped seams make it a useful shelter option to keep with your outdoor kit.
Use the popper studs to attach two or more bashas together for a longer shelter. The tarp can also be used as a sleeping bag cover or emergency stretcher. Check the tie points and poppers before setting it up, and choose secure anchor points appropriate to the conditions.
Where it fits in your kit
- Camp shelter: A tarp option for setting up beneath trees.
- Bushcraft kit: Useful when building a temporary shelter outdoors.
- Home emergency box: A backup shelter item for storm disruption.
- Off-grid trips: Can cover a sleeping bag when camping.
Prep tips
- Practise setting it up before you need it, including joining bashas with the popper studs.
