Description / Gerber Key Note 1-inch Folding Knife with Liner Lock
When a small repair or camp task needs a cutting or scraping edge, the Gerber Key Note is a compact folding knife that can earn a place in a home emergency box or camp kit. Its 1-inch fine edge blade is secured open by a liner lock, making it a practical option for smaller jobs where a larger knife would be unnecessary.
The blade opens using the finger flip, starter tab or nail nick. Its dual-use edge is intended for cutting and scraping, and the textured grip gives you a place to hold while working. The removable key ring offers another way to keep the tool organised with your kit.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: for small household cutting and scraping jobs.
- Shed or workshop: a compact tool for light repair tasks.
- Camp kit: useful for small camp jobs and general camp preparation.
- Bushcraft and woodland work: for appropriate small cutting tasks at camp.
Prep tips
- Store it securely with your tools, rather than loose among items that could be damaged by the blade.
- Practise opening and closing the knife carefully before relying on it for a task.
- Keep a separate cutting tool available if a job needs a longer blade or a different edge.
