Description / Gerber Freescape™ 12" Folding Camp Saw
When stormy weather leaves branches to clear or you need to prepare wood at camp, a dependable hand saw makes the job more manageable. The Gerber Freescape™ Camp Saw folds flat while remaining fully assembled, so it can be stored without loose parts to misplace.
Four pivot points let the saw use the full length of its blade to cut larger-diameter wood. The blade is securely protected when folded, and the rubber over-mould grip has a textured surface for a secure hold. Bright green accents on the black handle make it easier to spot among camp gear.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home shed or woodstore: Keep it with tools for preparing stored firewood.
- Camp: Cut wood for camp tasks and open-fire cooking.
- Bushcraft: A hand tool for practical wood preparation.
- Woodland work: Useful for cutting wood where a folding hand saw is appropriate.
Prep tips
- Store the saw folded, and check that it is in good condition before putting it away.
- Practise folding and opening it at home so you know how it works before using it at camp.
- Use an appropriate cutting surface and keep hands clear of the blade while working.
