When camp jobs call for controlled cutting, a fixed-blade knife is a useful tool to have ready. The Gerber Downwind DP has a 7CR17MOV drop-point blade, a tall grind for clean slicing and a handle made with machined multi-layer G-10 scales that maintain a secure grip when wet. It is suited to practical camp and bushcraft tasks.
Spine jimping and a control choil provide defined finger placement while working. The knife is supplied with a waxed canvas sheath and has a lanyard hole for storage.
