Description / Elk Ridge ER268 Full-Tang Fixed Blade Knife with Leather Sheath
When you’re setting up camp or handling practical woodland tasks, a fixed blade knife can earn its place as a versatile hand tool. The Elk Ridge ER268 has a full-tang construction, a 3.63" satin finish 440 stainless blade and a brown wood handle, making it a straightforward option for a home kit used for camp and bushcraft.
The knife is 8" overall and has nickel silver bolster(s) and a lanyard hole. A brown leather belt sheath is included. Keep it sheathed when stored, and use it with controlled cuts on a stable surface for suitable camp tasks.
Where it fits in your kit
- Home emergency box: Store it with tools for practical household and camp preparation tasks.
- Shed or woodstore: Keep it with other maintained hand tools for woodland work.
- Camp: Use it for appropriate camp tasks, including food preparation.
- Bushcraft kit: A fixed blade tool for planned work at camp or in the woodland.
Prep tips
- Store the knife clean and dry, with the blade covered by its sheath.
- Practise safe, controlled handling before relying on it during a trip.
- Use a saw for larger wood-cutting jobs rather than putting unsuitable strain on a knife.
