Description / DD Whoopie Sling Pair for Lightweight Hammock Suspension
When you need a compact sleeping setup for a night at camp or off-grid, a hammock is only useful if you can hang it at a suitable height. The DD Whoopie Sling is a ready-made pair of high-strength hammock suspension slings, offering a lightweight, compact alternative for people building a hammock-based shelter kit.
Used as an upgrade to hammock webbing, the slings make it easier to adjust the height and angle of your hang. Set up and check your hammock system before relying on it away from home.
Where it fits in your kit
- Hammock sleep system: use them to adjust the hang of your hammock.
- Camp shelter kit: a compact suspension option for planned nights outdoors.
- Off-grid sleep setup: useful when a hammock is part of your intended shelter system.
- Hammock-based grab bag: pack them if your emergency sleep plan includes a hammock.
Prep tips
- Practise setting up and adjusting your hammock before you need to rely on it.
- Inspect the slings and the rest of the suspension system before each use.
- Check that your chosen anchors and setup are suitable, and follow your hammock’s instructions.
- Keep a backup sleeping option if your plans depend on a hammock.
